I'm trying to set schedule a DTS pkg to run, but I keep getting the following error:

Error = -2147217865 (80040E37) Error string: Invalid object name 'tbl_test_DTS'. Error source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server Help file: Help context: 0 Error Detail Records: Error: -2147217865 (80040E37); Provider Error: 208 (D0) Error string: Invalid object name 'tbl_test_DTS'. Error

When I manually run the DTS it's fine, so I'm not sure why I get an invalid object name error.

Any advice is much appreciated.

It could be a problem with the owner of the table tbl_test_DTS. If you created that table then you own it can run the DTS against it. it looks like your package is looking for table dbo.tbl_test_DTS. Is your table owned by dbo or something else.

yes, table is owned by dbo.

Does 'sa' own the job? I've only seen that happen when the table is owned by someone else...

sa owns the job.

Hi Lloyd,

Does the SQL Server Agent account have access to the table?

I'll have the roast duck with the mango salsa.

the SQL Server agent startup account is a windows account, which I would assume is part of the BUILTIN/Administrators group, which is a dbo of the database being used.
