scheduled backups

im new to backup exec and new to my job, working in a small business, i can only run manual backups successfully, the scheduled backups are failing (this was not set up by myself).

we are using win2k server and exchange server 5.5..can someone point me in the right direction???

What kind of error are you getting in backup log when doing the schedule backup? An errors in the system log and application log???

You might want to make sure that there is no Anti Virus software running at the time of the scheduled backup. Also make sure there is no filtering software or defrag running.
And as humse suggested, have a look in the event viewer if there is any entry at the time of the scheduled backup which could indicate what is going on.
