Hello,
I am working on a large FileMaker Pro 7 db. We pull all of the data from a SQL Server. Our FileMaker db/files reside on our FileMaker Server. Currently, I have been opening a remote connection to my files and I do an import manually. More recently I set up a Windows script on my PC to take care of this in one swift step, and I plan to use task scheduler to schedule it to run twice a week. The actual import is still done by a FileMaker script.
The problem is that this method leaves some information vulnerable. I would like to know if there is a way to just schedule a script in FileMaker to run at certain times without the file open.
What I would like is for this to work/run exactly like a "Job" in SQL Server. Is there such an equivalent in FMP?
Thank you in advance for any advice you can lend me.
