I want to create client schedule that will once a month archive drive C:, all folders, subfolders and files. What should I write in Objects field?
I tried "c:", than "c:*", also "c:\*", but only files in root directory are archived.
Also I tried "c:\...\*" but it didn't work, dsmsched.log says that object is unknown.
I'm running TSM version 5.1.5 under Windows.
And, as I understand, exclude and include statements in client options file are not relevant for archiving?
Thnx

Can you specify any options in the schedule?

How about

-subdir=yes

?

If we want to perform a monthly archive of the C drive.

Technically this should work C:\...\* , since it did not work try UNC_name\\C:\...\* .

In the objects it would not hurt to add subdir=yes, the \...\ does the same thing as the subdir=yes.

Good Luck,
Sias

Be careful between "c:" and "c:\"

in the schedule for archiving I put "c:\" with the option -subdir=yes and it works fine
