I have a asa 5505 connected to an ADSL line that needs to shutdown every 24h or the ISP we enforce it. To avoid this during working hours. I would like that the ASA is doing it itself, but i havent found a command to do it. Last resort would be a cron telnet, ssh, snmpset to do it from the inside network.
Do i miss something or is for the asa not possible to schedule a shutdown of a port at a specfic time.

new to ASA

Is this a PPPoE dsl conncetion? It seems a little extreme to shutdown the entire ethernet port every 24 hours.

It´s an ADSL PPPoE Connection. The ISP is enforcing a disconnect every 24h.

My idea is to disconnect for a few seconds at night so that the ISP enforcement will not happen during daytime business hours.
