Hello
I'm new to this crystal server XI
i have a report that contains a parameter
the parameter is 3 to 35
right now i generate a pdf for each parameter
if i schedule this report
do i have to create 32 copy of this report in the publishing wizzard and set them for each paramter
or is there and better way since creating 32 copies of this report and set each parameter

Any help is welcome
thanks

No, you can just place one report into the CRS and schedule it 32 times each with different parameters if you want 32 separate instances.

Are you wanting to distribute them to different people/entities, or?

You might also use just one scheduled instance grouped on the field compared to by the parameter, and use Reset Page Number After in the group footer to have one PDF broken down by however many values you've passed in the parameter.

Otherwise a 3rd party tool might help, but you speak of what you are doing, it's unclear what you want.

hi synapsevampire
thanks my friend for the reply
Here is what i want to do.
1. I have this report that is link to a sql datasource
and the report data field has an id from 3 to 35
I must create a seperated pdf for each of theses id
right now i run the report thru CR XI and export each one at a time to a pdf on share network drive folder.
If it's possible i mean to have Crystal server do it.
Example here is i done so far
1. i used the publish wizzard
2. select report
3. created a folder call inbox and place the report in it
4. i created a categorie call Remediation
5. set database connction and parameter to 3
6. then it publish the report to the infoview in the inbox
7. then i go in the folder and select schedule
8. select run now
HERE'S THE TRICKY PART I'M HAVING:
1. when i select schedule
run object weekly and select day sunday
and
start time 6:00 am and shows 2/8/2006
end time 12:00 am 1/4/2016
is the end time means when the report will stop scheduling

2. I set the database logon no problem
3. filter no problem
4. Destination
Here's is a problem

i select a specific file location
i fill in the directory location
then i specified a name for the pdf
then there the user name and password
i try leaving it blank and went to open the pdf i get error access denied
I want all the user that will click on it to be able to see them since i will be placing these pdf i a share folder on network
then there the check box cleanup instance after scheduling
what does that mean?????????
all the rest of the of the tabs i understand
Sorry about all of this
but your help is greatly appareciated
