Schedule future delivery of message 1

Greetings all,

Is it possible within Notes to schedule the sending of a message for a specific date in the future. For example, I have a message to send to multiple addresses that I would like to send on April 1st. Is there a way I can schedule that automatically?

Here's a unique way to handle your situation.

STEP 1. Create an email message, address it to yourself, and place a unique text string in the Subject line. It has to be something that would normally never appear in normal conversation. Something like "sweatsoxsundae." Make it all one word and keep it short. Send the message. When you receive it, store it in a folder in your email database for safe-keeping.

STEP 2. Create an agent. Name it with the same text string as your Subject line text string, to be consistent. When should this agent run? On Schedule Monthly. Click the Schedule button and set the day you want the message to go out. Set the Start and Stop dates so the agent will only run once. Which documents should it act on? All documents in database. Click the Add Search button and use the Words and Phrases selection to search for your unique text string. (The agent will only find one document that matches--the one you sent yourself, so it will only execute the following actions once.) In the Actions field, click the Add Action button. Select the Send Mail Message Action. Set up your message.

With this setup, you can set it and forget it. And, the agent is reuseable. Simply edit the scheduled date and the Send Message Action.
