schedule does not run on time

Hi all,

I been doing some testing on MS SMS server for few weeks and there are some problems which i still cant solve....

whenever i scheduled the software and hardware inventory to run at certain time, it just dont run on time...maybe 1, 2, or 3 hrs later....this happen when i try to do software distribution...is there any configuration that i lack out????

It is very important that your entire networked environment has the same time. SMS uses the system clock to determine when to run packages.

We use the service called Time Service to make sure that our enviroment is in synch. You will also see many SMS event errors that pertain to client machines that have different times than the SMS site Server if your client machines are not synch'd.

I would first verify this...

try....

net time \\server /set /y

In a login script, user will have to have rights to set time on a NT / 2000 box
