Hi,

Previously I scheduled to create two reports in CMC every two hours from 8 AM until midnight for 5 days (Mon - Fri) a week. That means I had created 18 scheduled reports. Each report created completely took around 1 minute.

Now, I also schedule the same two reports for 5 days (Mon - Fri) but I change to create these reports every hour from 8 AM to midnight. That means I had created extra 16 scheduled reports (with total 34 scheduled reports)

I found the the time for creating each report had increased to 10 minutes. Does anyone know why the performance had decreased so much? Is there any suggestion to improve it?

Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,
was that the ONLY change..just added instances, no change to the reports themselves?
Any change to the datasource?

I just created new reports by copying previously reports (Clicked on "Copy/Move/Shortcut..." from CMC). I just changed the Report Title and Schedule Time.

For example, previously there was a report named "0800 AM report A" which the Schedule time was 8 AM. I copy this report and then created as new report. I changed the Report title as "0900 AM report A" and Schedule Time as 9 AM.

The rest still remained the same. No change to report (rpt file) themselves. But the performance just decreased suddenly after few days I created.

Hi,

makes me suspect that something in the database may have changed--if it were just the reschedule it should have affected it on the first run...
