Hi all,
I have a problem with MS Project which I can't find an answer to.
I have a timeline of events which happen one after the other, and for one of the events I need to do some prep work while the even befoe it is still running.

How do I insert this preparation event as a direct predecessor of another event, so that whenever the following even falls, this even will schedule to start the day before.

Normally the scheduling works the other way around (things are scheduled by preceding events, not following ones), so I don't know how to do this.

Thanks in advance!
J

Hello J,

You could link the tasks in a Start to Finish relationship. Your event is the predecessor (Start) and the preparation is the successor (Finish).

Another option is a Start to Start with a one day lead.

I hope this helps.
