scene order?

I have a request to change the order of the scene in a flash movie based on the user's selection.

I have thought of assigning a variable to each of 27 scense and depending on which variable the play head moves to that scene.

Has anyone done anything like that?

any advice, it's a new project and I'd like to start off on the right foot.

It's probably easiest to start each scene with a labelled keyframe and target those labels with a gotoAndPlay() statement.
