I have never used SCCS, can anyone tell me how to use SCCS, in detail if possible with the code required to check-in/ check out the source objects.

Thank you very much for the site below for SCCS,

But I am still not able to use SCCS for the following reasons:

In the very first example from this site: "huey% sccs admin -ihosts hosts"
what is -ihosts and hosts . Are those the file names to be put under SCCS control.
Also, what is admin is the above command, Is it SCCS admin or the admin for the unix box. (I assume it is for SCCS).

Also, what do I do in order to get access to SCCS admin or user who can checkin/ checkout authority.

When I run the above command I get the error :
" % sccs admin -ihosts hosts
ERROR [SCCS/s.hosts]: cannot create lock file (cm4) "

I checked on our unix box the path you mentioned on the site for SCCS commands is already there.

Help.
