Hi there,
I wrote in one of my scripts

PLAY PROMPT NUMBERBYDIGIT CLID

but this doesn't seem to work; nothing is played
I expect this command uses the voice segments c_xxx_gv defined in SccS but the refer to a file "file1" in CallPilot which I can not find over there.

Our Vendor tells me that I have to record this file my self and point the voice segments to this file...

I can not beleave this is! The variabels are predefined in SccS so I expect a standard lib. in CallPilot where it refers to.

Has any one any experience with this?

jvitegem,

The Play Prompt numberbydigit command only take integer constant or a script variable of Integer or DN type. However, you are trying to play a CLID type variable. That's why it's not working.

I'm not sure whether you can convert the CLID type variable to a Integer/DN type variable.

Anybody knows how to convert the variable type in SCCS ?

Erwin,

Thanks for your reply but.....
I think that CLID is a DN type, but I'm not sure.
But never the less I also tried

PLAY PROMPT NUMBERBYDIGIT 8

and

PLAY PROMPT NUMBER 9000

which are integer constants and that did work either.

Do you have access to a SCCS/Callpilot combination?
Could you test it on that system?

Regards
Jos

Hi,

Your vendor told you correct. The tools to play numbers has been programmed into the variable table in Symposium. You, however, need to create the appropriate interface in either Meridian Mail or Call Pilot. You will note that the name file1 must be referenced. In Meridian Mail, you will use the Voice Prompt Editor in Symposium client to create this file. In Call Pilot, you will create an Application called file1. You will also need to do the recordings for as many numbers as you wish to use. There are quite a few little configuration details to take care of with this before you can use the feature in your scripts.
Also, I am assuming that your Call Pilot is release 2.0 or later. And if so, has ACCESS already been configured for your system? If not, that activity will require a maintenance window, as you will have to run Configuration on the Call Pilot and reboot.
I have done quite a few of these, so they have become pretty familiar. However, my first one was pretty frustrating, not knowing everything that had to be done. You might consider requesting assistance with this from your vendor.

sandyml,

It's really frustrating to know that we have record the numbers one by one. I always thought that SCCS has recorded all the number variables. Well I guess that's what this forum is for :)

Anyway, The positive side is that Jos is using callpilot for the ACCESS link. Thus, the recordings can be recorded in .wav files and then imported to application builder.

It's like you buy a new car and a caravan at the same garage and at the end, when they are delivered. They tell you kindly, that they do not have towbar's and you have make it your self, but YES the mounting holes are prepared!

Yeh GREAT!

Good point about the wav files. JosVanItegem, think of this: first, SCCS cannot give you pre-recordings, since you are getting those from an entirely different system, a voicemail system that you are just using some of its resources. And if it did, it would sound pretty strange, since that voice wouldn't match your other recordings.
Can you imagine? (your voice) "Your expected wait time is" (SCCS voice) "three" (your voice) "minutes."
It's the gasoline that you need to put in, and someone for the driver's seat... :}
