After installing the SCCS 4.0/4.2 client (V 4.01.07 Rev. 62) on 2 XP machines, I have no problems EXCEPT when I try to access Real Time Displays. I get the error: "Unable to register data with statistics data propagator. Real time display cannot continue." Anyone have a clue??

I've gotten that problem before when the user logged into Windows is not setup as Local Administrator. Make sure the user account is a local admin on the computer with SCCS Client installed and see if that helps.

The users are setup as administrators.

As I posted above, both users I have set up ARE administrators. I have tried manually installing Sybase before performing the client install and I end up with that same error. Any other ideas??

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM!

Under the Network Connections->Properties->Advanced tab in XP, I unchecked the 'Internet Connection Firewall' box and everything works fine now.

I hope this helps someone else out.

I had some prbm in XP, where when i access reports it says cant open certain file.
I changed the security settings of the windows user and give him full control for the symposium folder(if poss program files folder itself).
it worked..
u can try the same..

Think Globally, Act Locally

I originally posted this in answer to a GRTD/XP problem. I have had to install Symposium and GRTD onto several machines recently and it has worked every time.

GRTD 3.05.05
Symposium Client 4.2
NS040107SU10C Patch
sy_jer1.1
XP Pro sp 2

Extract the sy_jer1.1 into the symposium install.

Install symposium. (answer No to overwrite files)
Run the NS... patch

Install GRTD

I find that Nortel software is very touchy. I have had to image this machine because what ever else I install kills sysmposium/GRTD

Good luck.
