SCCM backups failing

so i keep getting the following during the scheduled backup:

Deleting D:\SRVAPPS\SMSBACKUP\SHABackup\SiteServer\SMSServer\Logs\CrashDumps, FAILED, Win32 Error = 145
Failed to delete the contents of the backup folder. Error Code = 0x0
Error: Deleting the existing files in the backup location failed...

the error 145 = The directory is not empty.

has anyone else seen this? when i manually kick of the backup they run successfully.
