ScanWizard Hell!

I have just installed Scanwizard 5 v5.76 for a new scanner that I just bought.  I love the scanner, nothing fancy just a decent scanner (Microtek Scanmaker 3800) and this software that I got with it, Scanwizard, has put a rather sorry looking icon in the toolbar of my OS 9 for a silly dropdown menu that basically has only two items 1) Find scanners  2)Activate Scanner Buttons.  Now I could care less about the eyesore but the real problem is that the computer beeps constantly!  It is the same beep that happens when error messages pop up.  The only thing is there are no error messages.  This problem is making me so angry that I can feel myself aging fast over it.

I'd disable that menu and see if your problem stops. If you have photoshop you'll probably save a step anyway by scanning right from photoshop. That way any adjusting, cropping, rotating, color correction etc can be done right away.
