Scanning software 1

What is the best scanning software?? that would also manipulate images.. nothing too sophisticated though, just plain and simple. Scan, adjust image, send in email.
I have a Acer 3300 scanner.

PaperPort Deluxe ver.8.0 does everything for me. It lets you scan directly to other applications such as photo editing and e-mail programs. Of course it also has all options for adjusting scanned images.
