I scanned an old picture printed on matte photo paper, with an EPSON 2450 flatbed scanner. However, I get all the matte "dots" in to the scanned image. Is there a way to remove the "dots"?
I use PS 7.
Thank you.

Try Filter>Noise>Median and adjust till dots disappear or are less noticable

it depends how fine they are

1) despeckle
2) guassian blur

followed by USM (Unsharp Masking)

Kind Regards
Duncan

Thank you operamatic and duncdude! I used a combo from both of your advices, and it worked just fine!
Great help, thanks again.
