Every time I load my scanner on my computer (Windows ME), when I boot the computer I get a message stating there has been a divide overflow error. When I remove the scanner, the problem goes away. What can I do to fix this?

What kind of scanner is it? How old? If the scanner is older, have you downloaded the latest drivers from the manufacturers website? The error is software related and patches are available for these types of errors. Most of the issues are resolved through driver updates.
