Scanner to Foxpro

Does anyone kno how I can directly import an image from my scanner?

We scan the file into a tif image with a faxing program. (this way I can faxit back out with FoxPro code). Then in the database I have a couple of fields the make up the path/directory/filename that holds the file phycisal location on the servers hard drive. I then make a API call to the program associated with the tif file and view it that way. I do it this way instead of a using a memo or general fields because of the size of the database that holds the projects.
