ScanMail - MDAScanAllFindFirst() reported an internal error.

Exchange 5.5 Enterprise SP4

Does anyone have any idea what the following means and how I go about resolving it. I get the error every morning around 05:00. The backup has finished by 03.00.

I get the feeling it may be maintenance/defragmentation related. From what I read the info store service runs scheduled maintenance between 01:00 and 06:00

The error is as follows:
