ScanMail LiveUpdate?

Hi, there:

I am using Trend Micro ScanMail3.51 for exchange server. How do I do a manul virus update? Where should I look for?

I found this on the Trend website after having the same problem.

1. Go to

http://www.antivirus.com/download/pattern.htm

and download the pattern file, in this case the lpt$xxx.zip file.

2. Make sure that no scheduled scans are running. Unzip the pattern file and copy it to the \SMEX directory (default: c:\Program Files\Trend\SMEX).

Before you copy the pattern file into the SMEX directory go into services and stop the ScanMail_RealTimeScan service. When this service is stopped it will aslo stop the ScanMail_Web service. Now copy the pattern file into the SMEX directory and then restart both servies. I also stop the MS Internet Mail service before stopping the RealTimeScan service that way no internet mail messages get in or out while the realtime scan is down.
