I turned on file auditing and one of the first things that I noticed is that i see a bunch of access denied error messages in the log as soon as a user opens a server share. Any directory on the share for which the user does not have read level access gives an access denied. I'm not sure what would be scanning all of the directories on the share? we do not have google desktop on the pc's that the users are logged into.
