Scan Tool Frequency

How often should we have the scan tool run?

Currently it is set to run every day. Since we have implemented Wake on Lan, the systems are turning on everyday @ 5am.

Isn't it sufficient to run it once a week. That way any systems that are turned off, or that just joined the network, will run the program right away since it was advertised in the past (earlier in the week). What do you think?

If there is an "emergency" patch, you'd be screwed until your scan tool ran, unless you bumped it up again.
When you have a wake on lan doing it, once a day why change?
