scan tapes created from Budtool

I have a number of legacy NDMP backups created with Budtool, which was an early NDMP backup software which was bought by Legato. It is my understanding that NDMP backups are identical, regardless of the application that created it. If this is true, wouldn't I be able to scan these tapes into my current NetBackup infrastructure as long as I don't have any duplicate bar codes?

You can easily try it simply by trying an import of the tape. If you can import it, you can restore from it but ... Like you mentioned, be sure not to duplicate any bar codes.
