Hi,

Does anyone know how I can use a scanner in access 2k?

I'm trying to create a form that can access the scanner, i scan page by page a document and want to store it in one single file, save it on a disk and link that file to the record that I'm inserting.

The result of this is an applicatie where the users can search on criteria and then click on the link that opens the file.

Why not use a document mangement software ? Because it has to be a part of the existing access application that's completely tailor made in access.

Anyone some suggestions to do this ?

Thnkx

I've never done this, but a first step may well be to check any software supplied with the scanner to see if it exposes any objects, or even look in the list of references that can be called up using the object browser in the Access environment. You may well discover that there is a Twain object that can be referenced and the used in Accesss VBA and the scanner driven from there.
