Scan Card on Micros 3700

Hello, is it possible through the POS Configurator to setup a button, upon being clicked, displays a prompt, such as "Swipe/Scan Gift Card", the server would then swipe the gift card, and the card number would show up on a memo line/comment for the menu item/button?

You could always create a menu item called something like "Gift Card Number" and then in its Menu item class turn on reference required.

Ok thanks, when turning on reference required, is there any special configuration we need for the barcode scanner? I presume we need to configure the scanner through devices, but not sure after that..

That really depends on the scanner. If you have USB connected scanner, then no. Just use the packet that came with the scanner to enable keyboard mode.

Do you have a USB or COM scanner?
