Hi all, question on scaling text.
Do you have to manually change each dimension text height, in model space, if you are plotting on different size paper, ie. 8.5x11 and 11x17 to retain a consistent text height of say 2mm when it is plotted on both papaer sizes?
What is the procedure for retaining that 2mm plotted text height and does it matter if you have 2 different viewports at different scales?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

I tend to dimension all my drawings in PaperSpace, so whatever the scale of the viewport, the dimensions will always look the same. Also, this means that the ModelSpace drawing is not cluttered with text and dimensions and you can don't have to turn off all the text / dimension layer(s) in other viewports for other layouts.

The only thing you need to have though is various copies of a set DIMSTYLE, and each one set to various scale factors.

Cheers,
