This is probably a really stupid question to most of you but... How do I do I scale a Flash object without affecting the stroke thickness???
I am making a simple bar that I want to scale horisontally using a motion tween, but at the end of the tween the stroke is way to thick.
Please help me out, im going crazy here.

I have had this same problem and found a fix by just drawing a box and setting the dimensions in the info panel to 1 pixel high and however wide I wanted it.

Don't forget to select the stroke around the box and delete it before setting the dimensions.

You could also change your line to fill under the modify menu and most likely get the same result. Ya' Gotta Love It!

well once again...I have re-read the post and doubting as to whether I even answered your question or not. Are you scaling a symbol or just a line and fill graphic? Ya' Gotta Love It!

Well I guess I could have been a bit more spesific ;-) I am scaling a symbol (a standard box with a stroke of 0.5) I want to MotionTween this, so thats why I have made it in to a symbol. After doing the tween the stroke seems to be 5 times thicker.
Thanks for your input :)

It will do that if you scale a symbol... It does everything proportionately regardless of stroke or fill. If you want the stroke to remain exactly 1 pixel wide regardless of how big your box is you may want to double-click the symbol and edit the actual graphic. Ya' Gotta Love It!

Try the Hairline in the stroke Panel!

Hope that this
was helpful!

also guys i found if you make the symbol larger than you need then scale down it gets rid of that problem..it only does it if you scale the object larger than the original..

create your object..convert it to a symbol..reduce the size..then tween it..

just a thought..
