i if i drag a layer that has effects on it and resize it. the effects are not scaling automatically. how do i fix this.
thanks.

...that is a secondary process...

...resolution/pixels plays a part in layer effects, so one effect on an object may not look the same on larger object or vice versa, or a 72dpi file to a 600dpi file...

...a layer style may have been fine-tuned for a target resolution and features of a given size/dimension....

...using Scale Effects allows you to scale the effects in the layer style without scaling the object to which the layer style is applied.

...select the layer in the layers palette...

...right click the layer effect icon in the layers palette or choose:

layer > layer style > scale effects

...enter a percentage or drag the slider...

...select preview to preview the changes in the image...

...the other method is to convert a layer to a smart object, then transform it, particularly if you have imported a vector image...

...if you transform an object by way of the scale input fields in the tool bar, you then know what % can be applied to the scale effects command...
