Is there any way to use AI to draw a map, diagram or drawing on a scale not 1:1? The only way I've found so far is to use HotDoor CADtools 5, which offers a host of CAD type add-ons which I don't need, and costs $279. It seems really odd that a powerful drawing package like AI should not offer this simple feature. Also I'd like a way of automatical creating dimensions (using the current drawing scale, of course). If there's no way of doing this without paying for CADtools 5, I'm tempted to go back to CorelDraw, which offers both of these as standard features of the program.
