Just briefly, can anyone tell me the device limitations of a single instance of HPOV NNM with no collection stations is.
I have heard many different stories and claims from HP and others on this subject.
I have 700+ switches, 18,000 Workstations, 30+ vlans, some ATM/LANE. I want to gather interface stats (up/down, traffic loads etc) on about 120 Interfaces only, and monitor all switches and 60 servers for up/down.

Any ideas? Are YOU Sancho?....No you are not. Is Scott Baio Sancho?....NO, he is not!....Only.."I"....am Sancho!

It's not as easy as that -- depends on size of server, how much activity your network generates.

I would have thought, though, that as long as you don't monitor the work-stations that a single instance would be able to cope.

Others here may well have differing opinions. It's one of those things you will have to suck and see. Mike
