Hi All,
I work for a company with six retail locations but our current expansion plan is to be at 20 within the next three years. We currently use MS RMS at our retail locations, which sell specialty clothing items. Typical use would be somewhere equivalent to a radio shack and we do try to capture customer data as a lot of business is done through our catalog.
I'm looking for opinions from anyone that has worked with MS RMS in larger environments and what they think. Although I haven't spent a tremendous amount of time with it, I have some concerns. For example, it appears HQ Client and HQ Manager have to run in an interactive session or synchs don't happen. That says to me that this is a product meant for small time. We also seem to get a fairly steady line of complaints from store managers that customer lookups take too long or the POS application seems to 'hitch' and 'snag', sometimes even lockup completely throughout the day.
