SBT 5.0i on 2003 Server, Windows 8 Pro workstation. Been running this way for years. Now in the last week SBT has stopped at least daily on this one workstation with the aforementioned message.
Changed registry entry to disable LAN autodisconnect (http://windowsitpro.com/windows/how-do-i-configure-lan-autodisconnect). No fixey.
Configured ethernet adapter to never power off. No fixey.
Changed shortcut to 1) Run compatible with XP Pro SP3 and 2) run as administrator. Have not had sufficient time to see if this has fixed it.
Event viewer gives:
Faulting application name: sbtw.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x32e973ae

Anyone else experience this? As I said, nothing to my knowledge has changed. (But I always suspect a sneaky Wndows Update might be the culprit.)
