Hello all,
I'm using SBT 5.0i and the problem i'm having is with three AP transactions that are stuck in my GL but im unable to void the batch number. All three transactions are for 0.00 (i don't know why or how this happened). When i try to void the batch the void button is grayed out so im unable to. I can continue to work but this batch wont post and it wont void. Help. :)
Thanks..

Hi PBGTEC,

Batches that come from subledgers can not be neither edited nor voided. Based on a correct accounting process if you want to eliminate those transactions you got to reverse them from the orignal subledger, I understand this is not your case, but SBT does not know that, so here is my suggestion to you:

I suppose you have experience on VFP 5.0 and you know how to open SBT files and where they are located.

1. Open GLBATCHxx datafile (xx = company number)
2. BROWSE FOR batchno = "bbbbbb" (bbbbbb = batch#)
3. Look for the field BSTAT and replace it with a D
D means deleted.

Replace the procedure for each batch you want to delete.

4. Go back to SBT, try to find them, you will not because they are gone.

Hope it helps you buddy.

Thanks.. My controller was standing next to me saying.. 'you did it before... a few years ago, remember?' :)
But, it had to be when we upgraded from the 3.0 to 5.0 version... which was many moons ago. I can't remember everything :0)
Anyway, i'll try this first thing Monday morning. It should work fine.. so thanks again for the refresher course.
