Hi,
I just got a new server with windows SBS 2003 OS, This one will replace my old NT4.0 SERVER so what i did was, i copied the whole PRO50 folder to the new 2003 server, to C:\pro50 folder, so the new server is not connected to the network but after i copied the whole folder to it, i was trying to open SBT from a shortcut i did wich i put in the server desktop and when i double click on it sbt open but before i can enter the user and the password i am getting this message
"system data file SYCCACC is missing unable to continue" then when i press ok SBT close, i looked for that table(dbf) and the cdx file and they are right there in the pro50 folder but it does not allow sbt to run, i am guessing that once i connect this server to the network and trying to access the sbt from a workstation mapped to it i am hopping this will work from the workstation, i am wondering why i cannot run SBT on the server itself ?
Please i need your help
Thanks
Ernesto

Ernesto,

Any machine, including the server, running Pro will need the same drive mapping as the old server had. The server will need the drive mapped to itself.
The location of the tables are customisable and can be placed anywhere, so their paths are stored with a drive mapping. The program doesn't check which machine they're on.

Mapping the same drive letter to the new location on the server itself will solve the problem and allow you to run the program from the server, whether it's connected to the network or not.
