We are running SBS NT with SP 6.
We are also running proxy server and MS Exchange with Pop3
(internet email via modem).
At night we are running ArcserveIT 6.

The rest of the server is being used for data storage.

Every several days the NT server freezes and needs to
be rebooted.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Seems like you have a lot going on on that machine. What are the specs on the server? How many clients are running off of it?

The server is a PC AT with 2 meg of RAM <g>

Seriously its a Dell with 256 meg of RAM a 3 drive RAID array.
There are 4 clients running off the server.
There is a branded (I forget which brand) 100/10 auto sensing hub.

Any messages in the event viewer?
Does the Backup complete correctly? (I'm not particualarly fond of Arcserve).

I usually find unerrored lockups like this to be related to a hardware conflict.

Found the problem.

A dying power supply was causing the issues.
The power supply finally died.
We replaced it and the problems went away.

Go figure!!
