Hi

We use SBS between 2 sites in the UK for our switchboard. This has just stopped working and tests so a denial event (1575) is being generated which we cannot identify. Can anyone shed any light?

It appears that the CLAN is not conecting to our WAN...the last time this happened it was escalated to Avaya who performed a Reset System 4 but couldn't explain what caused the fault. Signalling appeared to go out over the ip address for our MedPro! We tried removing the MedPro config (not in use) and moved the CLAN card and reconfigured it to no avail.

A reset system 4 is planned but I am curious what the error is as we don't want to be resetting the system if we can be directed into another invesgition first.

There was a failure sending the ISDN "SETUP" message to the far end. It sounds like trouble talking to the other end. Do the trunks status in service, are the far end / near end ports correct, can you see the C-LAN MAC address when you status the C-LAN port?

Hi jaymtzer

All trunks were in service, no alarms etc. other calls, all boards test ok. ok.

We weren't seeing anything between the our CLAN and the distant end CLAN when we traved the ip address, we could ping the ip address's and there was no problems on our WAN.

We have done the reset system 4 and all is well agin...but for how long? As mentioned Avaya did a reset the last time but though it provides a solution it doesn't necessarly fix the underlining problem. I suspect a patch is needed but no one knows what to fix!!

Any more pointers to error 1575

this is as noted in my supersecret list of isdn denial codes!

#define DNY_SETUP_SND (C_DNY_BASE+575) /* setup.c (1575)
*get called digits, calling number
*and name, etc. and send ISDN
*SETUP message to far end.
*the "send" failed.
*(trk_setup(),um_setup())
*/

Do you realize you violate Avaya's copyright when you post information like that verbatim? I know it's done in the spirit of helping others, but you should probably just paraphrase that kind of info instead of pasting it into a forum, it's not much different than passing default passwords around.
