sbs console error

While trying to view the properties or manage the Internal web site from the sbs console i get the message

"An error occurred when accessing the property page of this web site . Check the server logs for more information. If the problem persists , contact Microsoft Product Support "

I cannot find anything in event viewer apart from an Event ID 2436 error.(this has to do with Windows Sharepoint Services 3) Maybe this caused this.. I am not sure. I can disable and enable the site, as i can browse it as well

Any help would be appreciated!

If you create a new site can you access the properties of that site? That will help you narrow down if there is a problem with the site or the server.
