GREETINGS,

COUPLE DAYS AGO I'VE INSTALLED SBS 2008 WITH NO ISSUES. TODAY I'VE TRIED TO TEST MY RWW AND INSIDE MY NETWORK WORKS JUST FINE, BUT WHEN TRYING TO CONNECT FROM THE INTERNET I HAVE TO TYPE IN ORDER TO COME UP. WHAT CHANGES I NEED TO MAKE IN ORDER TO TYPE AND HAVE IT COME UP?
SHOULD I CHANGE OR ROUTE A RECORD FROM MY DOMAIN'S HOSTING PROVIDER TO MY SERVER?

PLEASE HELP!

SBS 2008 really likes for you to use the wizards to set it up.

To configure your system so that you connect from the outside using remote.domain.com you need to open the Windows SBS Console.

On the HOME tab you will see getting started tasks, Connect to the internet, Setup your internet address.

This wizard will walk you through configuring your internet address so that you can connect from the outside.

Note: you don't have to use remote.domain.com to connect. In wizard there is an advanced settings link where you key in your domain name. You can change it to mail.domain.com or whatever you want.

You can also find this same wizard on the Connectivity Tab under the Network Tab at the top. On the right is connectivity tasks, then configure your internet address link.

Hope this works for you.
