I have a client that has SBS 2003 and the server was locking 25 users out at least once a week. The errors I was seeing in the event logs required patches to resolve some of them. The patches that I installed finally generated some licensing errors. I checked the licensing manager and found out there was only 5 licenses installed instead of 25 licenses. The client had lost the boxed certificates that they already purchased. They then purchased more licenses and have been stable for almost a week now. My main question is why would MS patches start causing this problem after 2 years????? Note the server has not been patched for at least a year in half. Any help would be great. Could a patch set back licensing information?? Any help would be appreciated.
