SBS 2003 - .NET 1.1 re-install and upgrade to latest patch

Hi,

As part of the requirements for installing an application I am advised to have .NET 1.1 installed.

While .NET 1.1 shows as registered in IIS and I get "command unknown" when I execute "aspnet_regiis.exe –lv" in a cmd window and after installing the app I get a '404' error on the login webpage.

When I checked the .NET 1.1 install on my Win XP desktop I had the same cmd window result *until* I had re-installed .NET 1.1 and updated to SP1.

I have read of problems with re-installing .NET 1.1 in SBS 2003 so I am nervous to do this - some advise from the more experienced please. :^D

I have not had problems with reinstalling .Net 1.1. I have had problems with installing newer versions, but not with a reinstall.
