Does anyone know if it's possible to mirror (asynchronous or synchronous) the Exchange database on SBS2003?

If it is possible I'd appreciate any pointers to get me going in the right direction.

Thanks!

It would be cheaper to upgrade to SBS 2008 or SBS 2011 than to buy the third-party software to create mirroring for Exchange 2003. DoubleTake is one such product. There's no native ability to mirror with Exchange 2003 Standard, which is what SBS 2003 is running.

SBS 2008 would give you something called Local Continuous Replication which would create a local mirrored copy of the database.

Alternately, if you want some sort of mirror-like option, look into third-party disaster recovery products like AppAssure or Zenith's BDR, which create regular snapshots of your SBS server and will bring a virtual copy of your server online and live in the event that your server goes down. That would essentially be a mirror of your entire SBS environment.
