HI,
I'm totaly new to Macs but i do support for Windows PCs and Servers.
I have just set up a SBS2003 network, all PCs except 1 Mac.
I'm having real troubles getting the Mac to integrate with the server.
I have installed the apple talk protocal on the server and installed Fie and print sharing services for Mac on the server.
When on the Mac i browse the network and click on the SBS server icon, It prompts for a username and passwork and then comes back and says the Alias could not be found (or similar).
I can ping the Mac from the server and the Mac can get on the internet through a router/firewall on the LAN. I have tried to set up the Mac mail program to get it's emails via pop3 accross the LAN but the server keeps rejecting the password.
I think i may be experiancing the rendevous (sp?) problem. I got the instructions from the Mac site to work round it but i could not complete the steps. Probably due to my inexperience of macs.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Cheers
Paul
