/sbin/loader: Fatal Error: object libcurses.so from liblist

Recently we upgraded our Compaq Dec alpha from Tru64 4.0.1 to 5.1. We are getting the following error when we try to run a 3rd party vendor supplied executable.

ERROR_MESSAGE_RPT.EXE: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: object libcurses.so from liblist in ERROR_MESSAGE_RPT.EXE has version "osf.1", which does not match the found object: /usr/shlib/libcurses.so (with version "xpg4")?

Please note that the executable is running fine on the vendor's environment.

Any idea on this error and how to resolve this? Any pointers will be highly appreciated. This is very urgent.
