If I have an SBC with advanced remote worker licenses, do those licenses allow me to test trunking to a provider or are they a different type of license?
So, 10 standard license lets you have 10 trunks. If you add 10 advanced sessions, then the 10 standard sessions could be just 10 trunks. Or it could just be 10 remote workers which would occupy all 10 std/adv sessions and those 10 users could call each other but not out a SIP trunk because you'd be out of licenses.
A license is occupied for the duration of the session - so for a trunk, that's when the trunk is in use. For a remote worker, that's for the duration of the registration.
So, if you had 20 standard and 10 advanced, you could have 10 remote workers call out of 10 trunks and be out of licenses at that point.
