I have been working on this problem for over 4 months now, and hope someone can help. I have a Compaq ProLiant 2500 server with a Compaq tape drive. The server operating system is 4.11 and I can't seem to get O/S to recognize the drive. I have loaded the tape drivers, tsa(s)and CPQSDISK.DSK but the system still refuses to acknowledge the tape equipment. After load the above, I have instructed the O/S to "Scan for new Devices" which seems to run okay, but when I do a "List Devices" it only shows the server's SCSI interface and the CDROM drive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I need to be able to back up the NDS as I will be replacing the 2500 with a new Compaq 1600 soon.
