Hey,
Im VERY new to Adobe Premier 6 and i need some help. I made my video on a different edit system and then imported it onto Adobe Premier 6.I added sound and now i want to save it.I want to save it as avi,mpeg or something easily veiwed by others but when i choose to save it says it will take 12 hours or a large amount of time.What am i doing wrong?
Please help, thanks for your time

Hi,

If you going to file->export->movie... you doing nothing wrong.
The calculation Premier do is wrong.
He take the length of the whole sequense and calculate the time of the rendering base on the time takes him to render the current frames or effect etc.
To make a long story short, the time showes as the remaining time to finish the render can and will change on-fly as the render goes along.
It can start showing you 12 hours and finish after 10 min.
