I'm a bit of a beginner at VB, so not TOO complicated, k? What I need is something that will save the user's process in a game I'm making...just which battles the user has won, what weapons they have, and how much gold they have. Thank you.

You could use a simple ini to start,
Check my faq on better function to write ini's then look at the read ini api
