I create newsletters for the healthcare field. Many of the terms are medical. Every time I run spell check, it flags these words. Whenever I click the add to dictionary button, it only seems to hold these words in a dictionary for the document I'm working on. I want to create a dictionary to add these words so that no matter what document I'm working on, spellcheck will not flag them.

Sometimes I'm working on docs that are 24 pages long with hundreds of medical terms. It can take forever to do a spellcheck. How do I save an external dictionary?

Open InDesign without a document open.
Go to Edit>Spelling>Dictionary.

Start adding words...

Anything you do without a document being open will have a global affect.

This works with most other programs as well

Thanks.
Is there a limit to the number of words that can be added to one dictionary?
